
This morning, enjoy a lecture about Hoi An Ancient town by a member of UNESCO
in Hoi An followed by a walking tour of the ancient town center and stop at
a former merchant's house, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the
colorful market with its stalls brimming with tropical specialties. Balance
of the afternoon day is free at leisure on your own to explore this ancient
town. The bazaar here offers the best-tailor made clothes and shoes which
can be made within a day. (Specific tailor shop recommendations will be offered)

Enjoy a special dinner this evening at The Brothers Restaurant. This charming
riverside restaurant with exquisite architecture and lighting will be an enchanting
experience for our group.

After early breakfast, transfer to the Danang airport for flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel for check-in (early check-in is NOT included and subject to hotel’s availability) Enjoy drinks on the Terrace of Saigon Saigon bar, an outdoor rooftop restaurant with light lunch. This afternoon, city tour of Saigon including the former, American built Presidential Palace which was renamed the Reunification Palace or Reunification Hall after Vietnam was unified, then continue to visit the Historical Museum.

After breakfast, at 08.30AM a well-known Saigonese chef, who has been teaching Vietnamese cuisine on a Saigon local television channel, will take you to the central colorful market of Ben Thanh to introduce Vietnamese food and raw materials by a walking tour through the market. After food shopping, enjoy a walking trip around the city landmarks including walking city tour of Saigon's historic landmarks to visit the Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, the former US Embassy (outside visit) and City Hall. Then we will be taken to our chef’s home to have a private cooking class of typical Vietnamese dishes. Enjoy the wonderful demonstration, followed by a lunch that we have cooked. This cooking class truly offers a diversity of Vietnamese cuisine from Northern to Southern Vietnam. Balance of the day is free for shopping or further exploration of the city on your own. Saigon is a great shopping paradise. (Request to stop at eyeglass store to order prescription glasses –optional for group).
